The TEDDY KIDS Bari and Albania young members created a serious game, a digital game with an educational purpose. “My Clinical Trial Center” aims at explaining to children in a fun way what clinical trials are, how they work and why they are so important to developing drugs suitable for children.
The game is extremely informative, as game-players will learn about clinical trial, study protocol, informed consent and assent in children, phases and procedures of clinical trials, data collection, and pharmacovigilance.
Since their establishment in 2017 as YPAG (Young Persons Advisory Groups), KIDS Bari and KIDS Albania have been making contribution to research, and well-being of children and young people. YPAGs continue to help researchers in designing clinical studies, improving communication with children as well as their families and their empowerment, and suggesting methods for dissemination of the results. Different YPAGs around the world have constituted iCAN— the International Children’s Advisory Network.
The game is developed by HERO and will be soon available for download in Play Store and Apple Store. The game is currently in English, the TEDDY KIDS are working on the Albanian and the Italian versions.
My CTC has received the iCAN approval and will be officially presented during the iCAN Summit that will take place virtually on July 12th – 16th (daily) from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m (est).
