TEDDY promotes its collaborative groups aimed at favouring paediatric clinical research

Aug 11 2017

The TEDDY network is working to launch a series of collaborative operating groups, focused on the most relevant topics of paediatric clinical research.
This action is intended to convey the Network expertise and experience to deliver useful instruments for the promotion and the concrete support of paediatric clinical research. It arises from the collaborative nature of the network and is aimed at improving the organisational structure of its activities.

To date, new groups are expected to be operative and existing ones will revise and enlarge the current organization. Globally, the collaborative operating groups will cover the following themes: Standard Operating Procedures for the conduct of paediatric clinical trials; off-label medicines use in paediatrics; regulatory procedures for paediatric clinical trials; ethical aspects; active engagement of children and adolescents in the themes of clinical research. Other groups will be activated according to the priorities defined within the TEDDY Network.

These groups will align their activities and priorities with the latest updates of the paediatric clinical research scenario, critically contribute to relevant initiatives and are expected to be proactive in their specific field of interest.
