The European Medicines Agency (EMA) organized a forum on 15 December 2020 to address the following objectives:
– inform on implementation of the HMA-EMA Big Data Task Force; priority recommendations;
– understand stakeholders’ perspectives;
– discuss opportunities for stakeholder collaboration and priorities.
The EU big data stakeholder forum will be held as virtual meeting. It will represent a space for a wide representation of stakeholders, and attendance will be organised through EU associations and by direct invitation. To enable a wide participation the forum will be broadcast, and a recording made public.
The outline of the agenda will be available shortly.
The joint HMA/EMA Big Data Steering Group advises the EMA Management Board and HMA on prioritisation and planning of actions to implement the ten priority recommendations in the Big Data Task Force final report (phase two).
The Steering Group began its work in May 2020. Its workplan sets out actions for delivery in 2020 and 2021 according to the Big Data Steering Group workplan.
