The activities of this WG are aimed to promote data collection, data sharing and data storing for secondary use. This working group arises from the need to recognize the importance of using health data and the necessity to have the proper tools to collect health data in order to increase knowledge in the field of medical research.
One of the activities of this working group is to contribute to the concept paper “Models for multi-database pharmacoepidemiologic studies”. This activity has been structured in different phases: 1) collection of relevant examples of multidatabase initiatives; 2) evaluate the four models with respect to relevant dimensions; 3) evaluate the four models with respect to relevant study scenarios 4) first draft of the concept paper and abstract ICPE 5) final draft of the concept paper and manuscript for publication
