Project MADAM (Model Adjusted Doses for All Mothers) is a collaboration between Radboud UMC and Maastricht University Medical Centres in the Netherlands and the Dutch Teratology Information Service (Lareb) with funding from the Gates Foundation that addresses the gap of knowledge and limited information on medication doses in pregnancy.
In particular, this project aims to investigate whether pharmacokinetic models can be used to set up pregnancy-adjusted dose recommendations and create an international pregnancy formulary. An online survey among healthcare practitioners across European countries and the United Kingdom has been recently launched and is still open. The final goal of this survey is to determine whether healthcare practitioners would be willing to use such a formulary and what their preferred features would be for this information source.
More information and the survey can be found here.
